吉林北山平安钟楼始建于2007年，位于北山西峰之巅，原址为吉林北山旷观亭。此钟楼是吉林市政府根据市民建议选址建造，由钟亭、观光台、文化廊三部分、四层组成，属中国北方清代台、亭组合形制，占地面积409.13平方米，建筑面积1295.18平方米，高21米，混凝土结构，仿古建筑。钟亭内悬挂的平安钟重达36.5吨，寓意21世纪一年365天，天天吉祥、平安。钟口径为3.488米，高5.03米，由蒲牢、钟顶、钟身、钟裙组成。位居东北第一、全国第八。钟身上刻有精美的水龙图纹浮雕与“平安”字样，以及代表二十四节气的二十四朵莲花，寓意为平安幸福、风调雨顺。该项目工程全部费用由我市民营企业家李彦群、宋治平、费敏建捐助。

Bell Tower of Peace

        Erected on top of the west peak of the Beishan in 2007, it covers an area of 409.13 square meters, and its construction area is 1295.18 square meters. It is a 21-meter-tall pseudo-classic architecture of concrete structure. The Bell of Peace hanging within the bell pavilion weighs 36.5 tons, meaning 365 peaceful and auspicious days in every year in the 21st century. The bell caliber is 3.488 meters, and it is 5.03 meters high. It is made of Pulao, bell top, bell body and bell skirt. It ranks 1st in Northeast China and 8th in China. The bell is engraved with exquisite water dragon pattern relief and Chinese characters of "SAFETY"s, coupled with 24 lotuses that represent the 24 solar terms, meaning peace and happiness, and good weather for crops.
